After a dedicated teaching career of 33 years, Kym Holmes was looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity where she could continue to work with children and utilize her teaching skills. She had heard of RMHCNA before, but didn’t know the extent of the programming available to families, including the Education Program.
Kym has gifted families over 180 hours of volunteer service since joining us in 2015. During the school year Kym comes into the RMHCNA Classroom once a week to work with students in close connection to our House Teacher and each student’s teacher back at home to make sure that they staying caught up with their education while in Edmonton. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our classroom, and we are thankful that she is one of our dedicated classroom volunteers.
