Thanks to the generosity of some very special community members, the RMHCNA House Heroes were able to go out to Jurassic Forest for a full day field trip celebrate the end of the school year. At 9:30 a.m. we loaded up the bus and headed out.

When we arrived, we were met by our enthusiastic guide for the day, Chelsea, who started us off on the first of two trails. The kids were so excited to learn and explore. They loved seeing Apatosaurus and Triceratops, but the T-Rex seemed to be the favourite amongst the group. Throughout the day we had a chance to have some lunch, play at the park and become paleontologists uncovering bones in the sand. We looked at a cast of a dinosaur egg and T-Rex tooth, and measured our size compared to a dinosaur.

It was an incredible day that could not have happened without a group of leadership students from Grande Prairie who fundraised enough money to pay for our admission, Connolly-McKinley who donated the use of their gorgeous motor coach and Gary Larson who donated his time to drive us out there. Thank you to all of you for giving us this opportunity! We are forever grateful for the special memories you helped us make on this field trip.
