Each week we do our very best to schedule a fun field trip outing for the kids. This week we faced the summer’s heat and headed out to Devon to witness the wonderful University of Alberta Botanic Gardens filled with all sorts of blooming flowers.
We caught several frogs and other pond animals and after getting our hand a little bit dirty, we ventured into the butterfly sanctuary where we were greeted by dozens of multicolored wings soaring above our heads.
Before heading back to the house, we walked through the calming Japanese Gardens and made our way to the giant Japanese bell. The kids had a blast ringing it and making some noise!
Thank you University of Alberta Botanic Gardens for having us at your beautiful grounds!
