2014 was such an amazing year for us. We have watched as our members within the Edmonton Fire Rescue Services really pulled together to create a presence within RMHNA. As a group, and thanks to assistance from Edmonton Fire Fighters Union, collectively EFRS has significantly increased their participation in the ‘Home for Dinner’ program. As it stands right now we are on a 5 month streak! We could really use a February group though to make that an even 6… hint, hint, nudge, nudge.

Firegirlsbaking has been fortunate enough to be a part of a variety of field trips to lots of different halls. There was baking of course, a ridiculous number of cookies, smiles, laughs, hugs, tears and even a road trip to Ronald McDonald House® Southern Alberta. This type of involvement lifts everyone, even if only slightly. Sometimes it’s the smallest lift that really makes a difference and helps to carry someone through. EFRS, know that you came through in 2014 on so many different occasions!

It is indescribable to watch the impact of this developing relationship, not just for the kids and the families, but for both of us and all our members as well. The effects have been profound and inspiring. We are so grateful for all the contributions and participation from every branch within EFRS. We would like to show you a little of 2014 and we hope that you will see how important and how valued your participation is!
