Spooky and delicious! These are great Halloween cookies to make. You can use absolutely any cookie dough you like paired with any colour. This time around we adapted a chocolate chip cookie recipe we like from Annie Eats.
Ingredients
¾ cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 egg yoke
2 cups + 2 tbsp flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ -¾ cup of chocolate chips
your favourite food colouring
candy eyeballs (you can find candy eyeballs at any Michael’s, Bulk barn or Walmart)
Beat together your butter, the sugars and the vanilla until they are light and fluffy. Add the egg and egg yolk one at a time mixing well to incorporate.
Combine your dry ingredients with the butter mixture and stir well.
If you like, add some chocolate chips (Be crazy! It’s almost Halloween, so you don’t even have to measure) and whatever food colouring suits your fancy. Shape into balls and bake at 350 degrees for approximately six minutes. Pull the cookies out and press one eyeball into the center of each cookie being careful not to touch the pan! Bake another four to five minutes and… It’s Aliiiiive!!!
