Meals That Mend: Frozen Edition

“We understand how a simple thing, like a warm meal, can lift one’s spirit during a trying time. We hope this simple gesture makes your day that little bit better.” -Chief Lubbers of the Stony Plain Fire Department

About the Program

Meals That Mend: Frozen Edition is sponsored by the Edmonton Firefighters Union Local 209 and designed to help support the nutritional needs of families in crisis.

Much like Meals That Mend, the Frozen Edition relies on the kindness of the community to plan, prepare, and package individually portioned grab-and-go freezer meals for families staying at the House, families using our Day Pass Program, and families in hospital.

How it Works

To book a Meals That Mend: Frozen Edition experience at the House:

  1. Contact our Executive Chef & Program Coordinator.
  2. Choose a recipe with the help of our Executive Chef & Program Coordinator.
  3. Purchase your groceries.
  4. Prepare your frozen meals at the House.

All packages and labels for the frozen meals will be provided at the Ronald McDonald House.
