RMHNA held its annual Welcome Home on Friday, February 28. We invited the community to come in and tour the House to better understand who we are and what we do. It was also a day where our community of supporters showed their support for the House with fun activities for both our families as well as our guests, including crafts, sparkle tattoos, fire truck tours and a dance party.

CISN broadcast live from RMHNA and interviewed Olympian Shannon Szabados from our kitchens. Momstown Edmonton made crafts with all children in the House. Sparkle Tattoo were busy applying their specialty tattoos on our kids. Firemen from Station 3 braved the cold weather and gave tours of their fire truck. In the evening, volunteers from the Microsoft Store came in to set up Just Dance on the Xbox One for the kids, staff and guests to play with in the Bonus Room. Adventure Bus also provided activity classes for the children at the House.

All meals were provided for families throughout the day: breakfast was prepared by WestJet, lunch was provided by Ledcor and dinner was made by Cargill. McDonald’s (Whitcofoods) donated cookies for the entire day. RMHNA also provided a shuttle service with the help of Driving Ms. Daisy to the different hospitals where House families were receiving treatment.

We hope to see you at the next Welcome Home event!
