On October 21, a presentation took place in Cold Lake, Alberta, informing the community about the mission, programs and impact RMHNA has on families. With the presence of a new Manager of Development in the Lakeland Region, Oreen Skiba plans to mobilize the region in support of the House.
On attendee to the presentation said, “The most surprising thing I learned is the amount of programming RMHNA offers, including education, recreation, meals and other things. That, to me, would serve great benefits for families. Also, the amount of Ronald McDonald Houses was surprising and the number of people using them. It is sad that so many people are in need of the service, as it means hardship, but great to hear that the service exists and is growing and always improving.”
Thank you to local McDonald’s® Owner/Operators Ben and Megan Land for providing the refreshments and to the Cold Lake FCSS for providing the venue.
