Meet Anysa Hansen, a 12-year-old from Hines Creek, AB, who is this month’s Volunteer Spotlight. Anysa was introduced to RMHNA through her aunt Rhonda who is a volunteer in Grande Prairie. She was excited about the opportunity to not only help families from the Peace Region, but to also help ensure there is always a home away from home for sick or injured children and their families.

Anysa is our Pop Tab Ambassador in the Hines Creek/Farivew area and is encouraging businesses and individuals to become involved with the program by collecting all tabs and donating them to RMHNA, who receives money from Maple Leaf Metals. Anysa is spreading the word through family, friends and social media and is hoping to reach as many people as possible. Outside of volunteering, Anysa likes to figure skate and have fun with her friends. She has one older sister named Taryn and two lovely parents, Sue and Blain, who support her in everything she does.

Anysa’s positive and upbeat attitude mirrors her favorite quote by John Green, “I’m on a roller coaster that only goes up my friend.”

If you are in the Fairview or Hines Creek Area, you can reach Anysa through Megan at 780-831-4366 and she will make sure you have everything you need to start collecting tabs in support of RMHNA.
