Through Legacy Giving you provide lasting support to RMHCNA and leave a meaningful, dignified and purposeful gift that will continue to provide support and comfort, long after you are gone. At RMHCNA we strive to provide stability and continuity to the families that call RMHCNA home. Legacy Giving allows us to plan for the future, to provide that stability and loving environment in your honour and your memory.
How to Proceed with Legacy Giving
There are a few steps that you need to take in order to proceed with Legacy Giving:
- Regardless of the size of your estate, you will need to write a will. In your will you can decide to leave an exact dollar amount of a percentage of your estate to your favourite organization.
- Speak to a fundraising officer and discuss the options that are available to honour your gift.
- We also strongly recommend consulting a professional advisor to get the right expertise and advice. They can assist you with tax advice and ensuring that the timing of your donation is right for you and your family.
- Make sure that your family is aware of your intentions so they can support your gift and ensure that your goals are met.
